Tivoli Group Ltd is delighted to have been awarded a prestigious BALI National Landscape Award, for demonstrating professional excellence in the hard landscape construction of a pond regeneration project at a site in Twycross.

The annual BALI National Awards are the largest landscaping Awards in Europe, celebrating the highest level of horticultural skills and quality of work delivered across the industry by BALI members. Entries are judged by a panel of acclaimed industry experts, who evaluate each scheme against set criteria including quality of workmanship, client satisfaction, and environmental impact.

Sodexo UK Projects Team were approached by their client to assist in producing a concept design proposal to refurbish their pond and transform the surrounding area. Tivoli was commissioned to work on the design concept and associated deliverables, and the project was completed in February 2022.

The site in Twycross is a purpose-built headquarters. The buildings are set within a parkland landscape complete with wooded areas and lakes. Sodexo’s client wanted to create an exceptional environment for people to work in, with a valuable outdoor space and entertainment area. Collaborating with an elite team of sub-contractors, including MTS Landscapes the main sub-contractor and Outside Spaces Landscape Design the designer and architect, the regeneration project managed and delivered by Tivoli focussed on quality materials and construction longevity; easy access with minimal ongoing maintenance; and sustainable solutions throughout every stage.

Sodexo’s project manager, Dominic Skelhorn, said:

Sodexo makes sure that our approach to enhancing people’s quality of life embodies principles of diversity, sustainability, environmental awareness, local prosperity and respect for every kind of resource we work with. The Twycross pond project embodies several of these principles, and I’m proud of what we achieved together. Tivoli delivered an excellent piece of work and I’m delighted to see the project recognised by the Association.

Nicola Keach, Tivoli Chief Executive Officer, said:

We are absolutely delighted to win this prestigious award – congratulations to all those involved. It is another fantastic achievement for the Tivoli team and demonstrates the skill and dedication of our colleagues across the business, who consistently deliver top quality services to our clients.”

BALI Chief Executive, Wayne Grills adds:

Year on year I am amazed by the skill and creativity the Association’s members have in creating exceptional spaces for their clients and this year’s winners have been no exception. Everyone on the Judging Panel feels the responsibility to ensure they are recognising truly exceptional, client focussed solutions. We are also excited to see a growing focus towards integrating environmental and sustainable solutions within the practical requirements of the project.
