Tivoli wins planned grounds maintenance contract for Scottish Water

Tivoli has commenced operations as the new grounds maintenance service provider for Scottish Water, looking after over 3,000 sites throughout Scotland.

Running from 1st February 2019 until 31st January 2021 with a possible 5-year extension, the contract sees Tivoli completing scheduled grass-cutting, weed-spraying, hedge-cutting and other ground maintenance activities at Scottish Water sites throughout most of the Scottish mainland. Teams have been in-place and mobilised since 8th April, following a full suite of site audits.

Six tenders were submitted in total, with Tivoli coming out as the highest scoring bidder after a rigorous tender process paying particular focus to 5 key areas – employer/Health & Safety practises, commerciality, systems and processes, resources, and weed killing capabilities. A crucial element of the Tivoli tender was the introduction of a web-based management information system providing real-time schedule updates by on-site staff, including photographic data.

Peter Farrer, Chief Operating Officer, Scottish Water said: “Scottish Water are delighted to welcome Tivoli into our Supply Chain. We have every confidence in the team’s ability to deliver the service to the highest standard over the years ahead”

Mark Heath, Commercial Director, Tivoli said: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured this prestigious contract. We understand the importance of service excellence and Health & Safety within the utilities sector, and we will prioritise the delivery of appropriate and flexible resources, together with innovation, to provide a valuable service throughout Scotland. Our goal is to develop a true partnership with Scottish Water, and provide a safe and consistent first-class grounds maintenance service.”
